Day 340 – Day Off

Well well, we really are counting down the days now, aren’t we? Maybe not close enough for an actual countdown, but we are really pressing on! Shout out to all who are bang up to date. I salute you!

What have you done today? I know Covid and lockdowns make life tougher, but I bet you were still able to do lots of little nice things. Spend time with a family member. Play games online with friends. Have a tasty meal. Lie in, perhaps. Find a new song on Spotify you liked. Maybe you had a simple and pleasant trip out somewhere.

I didn’t particularly plan much of this weekend, or do anything special to make it work. Garden centre trips, mooching on Amazon thinking about Christmas presents, a nice steak for tea last night. All the things I did make up the small pleasures of being human, and being part of this beautiful creation that God has given us, with good friends and family and lots and lots and lots to be grateful for that God gives abundantly.

Never stop praising God for the little pleasures of life, and the happy times every day that we take for granted.
